Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra
Uttara Bhadrapada is the twenty sixth nakshatra, from 3°20' to 16°40' of Meena (Pisces), ruled by Saturn, and it is the calm second half of the Bhadrapada pair.
It holds the remaining corners of the great square of Pegasus, running toward Andromeda, and it is one of the easier nakshatras to locate on an autumn evening. The deity is Ahir Budhnya, the serpent of the deep, a figure of stillness at the bottom of the water rather than of threat.
The classical activity class is Dhruva, fixed, which puts it in the same group as Rohini and the two other Uttara nakshatras, and the gana is Manushya (human). Where its partner is fierce, this one is repeatedly described in the tradition as settled: depth without agitation, patience that has stopped being effortful.
The practical shape is the long quiet part of anything worth doing. It is a reasonable nakshatra for work that nobody is watching, for keeping a promise you made to yourself, and for the kind of steadiness that only shows up in a result years later.
