Ashwini nakshatra
Ashwini is the first of the 27 nakshatras, the opening 13°20' of Mesha (Aries) in the sidereal zodiac, ruled by Ketu and marked by the head of a horse.
In the sky it is the small group at the head of the constellation of the Ram, a pair of modest stars that would not attract attention if the tradition had not started its count there. That starting point is fixed against the stars rather than against the equinox, which is what the Lahiri ayanamsa maintains.
The deities are the Ashwini Kumaras, twin horsemen associated in the oldest layer of the tradition with healing and with arriving in time. The symbol is a horse's head, the gana is Deva (the divine temperament), and the classical activity class is Kshipra, meaning swift. Everything about the nakshatra is about speed and first response.
That gives it a plain use. Work that benefits from being done immediately rather than well suits this Moon, and work that needs deliberation does not. Which of those you are facing is usually obvious once you ask, and the nakshatra is a prompt to ask.
