Today's tithi is Ekadashi, in the Shukla paksha, the waxing half of the lunar month. The Moon moves through Anuradha nakshatra, pada 1. The vara is Budhavara, and the panchang's remaining limbs are Shubha yoga and Vishti karana.

What is Vishti karana?

Vishti, also called Bhadra, is the seventh and last of the movable karanas, a six degree half tithi, and it is the one the tradition sets aside for maintenance and for finishing rather than for beginnings.

The common lists give Vishti to Yama, the deity of limits and of endings, and it has the strongest reputation of the eleven karanas. What the classical scheme actually says about it is narrow: it is not the window for launching something you want to run for a long time. It is not a claim about danger, and the tradition sets out plenty of work that belongs here.

That work is the corrective kind. Repair, clearing, closing accounts, the difficult conversation that has been postponed, the task that has to be done whether or not the timing is convenient. Vishti recurs eight times a lunar month, roughly every three and a half days, which alone tells you it cannot be describing a rare or dramatic condition.

The honest frame is cost. Beginning something here traditionally means accepting more friction at the start, and the reasonable question is whether the thing is worth that friction. Sometimes it is, because waiting has its own price. The tradition names the trade off and leaves the choice to you.
