Krittika nakshatra
Krittika is the third nakshatra, running from 26°40' of Mesha (Aries) to 10°00' of Vrishabha (Taurus), ruled by the Sun, and it is the one you can find without help: the Pleiades.
That little cluster is the most recognisable naked eye object in the whole nakshatra list, six or seven stars in a tight knot that most people have noticed at some point without knowing what they were looking at. Several older reckonings began the count of nakshatras here rather than at Ashwini, which is a useful reminder that the tradition has a history rather than a single frozen form.
The deity is Agni, fire, and the symbol is usually given as a blade or a flame. The gana is Rakshasa, which the tradition means as an intense and boundary pushing temperament rather than anything wicked, and the activity class is Mishra, mixed. Fire cooks and fire clears, and the classical readings keep both.
The usable version is precision applied with heat: cutting away what does not belong, giving honest feedback, finishing something by burning off the excess. That is a demanding way to work, and the tradition treats the demand as the price rather than as a punishment.
